Evolution of Hate: From Hate Crimes to Genocide

Crest Theater
1013 K St. Sacramento, CA 95814

Doors Open: 3:00 pm
First Film: 4:00 pm
Panel Start Time: 5:30 pm

An event double feature of "The Devil Came on Horseback," an incredibly powerful film about the genocide in Darfur and "Screamers" which, with the help of rock band System Of A Down, discusses the Armenian genocide and the need to never forget the past

Given the recent rise in hate-based speech and actions across the country, and remembering that it is unopposed hate which leads to genocide, the Sacramento Committee on Conscience will be hosting an informative and interactive event designed to bring the community together to unite against this growing threat.

Between the showings of the films there will be a panel of community leaders and speakers to discuss the evolution of hate crimes into larger displays of violence, and what can be done to stop such escalation.  Following the panel discussion, there will be a reception with food for all attendees. Please join us as the Greater Sacramento community unites to fight hate and end genocide.

The cost of tickets is: $15 advance/$20 day of show. ($5 off Student Tickets)
